Ticketer: Changes to the UK Bus Industry Since the Pandemic

It’s now a year since the UK experienced the first lockdown. Our industry has been through an unprecedented time and so much has changed. But what hasn’t changed, is the determination of the public transport industry, and the sheer overwhelming commitment from the operators to keep services running, so that passengers are able to make their essential journeys safely and with ease. And now, as spring has arrived, the coming months are beginning to look a little more positive for the industry, and the UK as a whole.

At the time of writing this, over 30 million people in the UK have received their first dose of the Covid vaccine, and the roadmap is looking like it’s on track.

So, as we emerge from this (hopefully last) lockdown, and passenger numbers increase, our Ticketer CEO, Andy Monshaw wanted to say hi, and give a short update of some of the industry trends we are seeing and a hint of what’s to come.
