How does it work?
The SmartHUB connects directly to a vehicle’s CAN FMS bus enabling monitoring of the vehicle, and is fully ITxPT Certified against the S02 v2.1.0 specification. Using ITxPT labelled add-on units ensures easy integration and long-term maintenance as well as open for future system upgrades. Once connected, it provides seamless communications, Real Time Information, and ticketing.
Benefits include:
- MI – Module Inventory
- Time – Time synchronization service
- GNSS – Simultaneous reception of up to 3 GNSS systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou) services using market leading UBlox GPS for best possible precision
- FMStoIP – Data collection from FMS/CAN bus
- VEHICLEtoIP – Data collection from the vehicle, including door signals etc.
- MQTT – Message Queueing Telemetry Transport Broker for Over-The-Air (OTA) Communication
- 4G+ Communication - Transfer speeds up to 300 Mbps. Can be HW-upgraded to 5G.
- Remote Management - SmartHUB can be remotely upgraded, configured, and managed.

Electronic Ticket Machines
Our Electronic Ticket Machines are so much more than your standard ticketing device. Our ETMs accept multiple fare payment forms, track vehicles and schedule adherence, communicate with drivers, capture vehicle checks and provide a wealth of reporting data that’s accessible online -anywhere and at any time.
How does it work?
Perfect for fixed installations and busy routes, our ETMs validate and issue tickets, come with a barcode scanner and are ITSO and EMV certified, whilst simultaneously providing Real Time information and communication to the back-office.
Benefits include:
- ITSO and EMV certified - Supports a variety of contactless payments
- Schedule Adherence – Using the ETM’s location, operators can monitor their fleet against the schedule, both in real-time and through historic reports
- Driver Messaging – Ticketer ETMs support a messaging feature which allows operators to contact drivers via text messages
- Vehicle Checklist – Information, notes and fault positions are captured electronically on the ETM. Unresolved defects are retained, so drivers are aware of known pre-existing issues

Tap Off Reader (TOR)
With our pole mounted Tap Off Reader (TOR), you improve passenger flow whilst giving passengers reassurance they are only paying for the journeys they actually make.
How does it work?
Working in tandem with our Ticketer ETMs, the pole mounted reader enables frictionless travel with one simple tap out with a contactless card. Unlike tap-on-entry EMV schemes, the fare per journey is based on where the passenger boarded and alighted. If a passenger forgets to tap-out, either an ‘end line’ fare or a default fare can be applied via the back office.
Benefits include:
- Data Intelligence - Operators can use the boarding and alighting information to gather valuable data on passenger travel patterns and capacity enabling services to be improved if needed
- Passenger Satisfaction - Passengers have the freedom of travel knowing that they will only pay for the journey they have made
- Improved Efficiency – Reduced dwell times whilst passengers alight can improve fleet efficiency and schedule adherence

Handheld
Our Handheld Electronic Ticket Machine (ETM) may be our smallest ETM, but it’s packed to the brim with the same powerful functionalities of our standard ETM. It just has the added bonus of being completely mobile!
How does it work?
With a barcode scanner and contactless EMV area at the front of the device, you can easily issue and validate passenger tickets, whether the Handheld is fixed to a dashboard, on a flexible mounting arm, or carried in hand.
Benefits include:
- Longer Battery Life – Runs for up to 4 hours on a fully charged battery
- Contactless EMV Payment – Accepts a range of fare payments for passenger ease
- Full Standard ETM Functionality – Just more compact and fully portable!

Benefits include:
- Real Time Information – APC allows operators and drivers to monitor passenger flow in real time, enabling more effective fleet management
- Intelligent Data - Reporting and analysis can be filtered based on date, time, line, route, stop name and GPS position
- On Board Safety -The maximum number of passengers can be defined per vehicle type, operators can then be notified when this is exceeded
