Ticketer launches hand-held electronic ticket machine

27 June 2014

To meet overwhelming demand from operators, this month Ticketer, the UK’s leading provider of innovative ticketing solutions, is launching a hand-held electronic ticket machine (ETM).

The new hand-held ETM has been designed to complement the existing Ticketer portfolio, including all the same features as the fixed unit. The same pricing structure allows operators to choose the most suitable version to meet their needs rather than focusing on the cost.

The new hand-held includes an inbuilt dual ITSO and level-1 certified EMV card reader and thermal printer. It also comes packed with all the advanced ETM features already found in the fixed Ticketer ETMs, such as driver messaging, real-time information (RTI), and also the newly released schedule adherence feature, informing the driver whether they are running early or late and providing alerts to prevent them from departing from a stop too early.

John Clarfelt, Managing Director of Ticketer, comments: “We have responded to many requests from customers for a mobile version of our best-selling ETM and we are delighted that we will be able to demonstrate its capabilities at Euro Bus Expo.”

Demand for the new model has proved strong with several operators already placing orders for the new hand-held version for a variety of use-cases, including queue busting, emergency cover, commuter services and off-bus ticketing requirements.
